The confederation structure of the Bund Heimat und Umwelt (BHU)

The executive committee is the highest deciding board of the BHU.

Apart from a few honorary members, the BHU does not offer a possibility of personal fellowship. It serves regional associations as an umbrella organisation.

Expert groups are in charge of the thematic cooperation. In most cases, these groups are supervised by regional associations.

The headquarters in Bonn is responsible for the association's work. There, sessions of different expert groups are prepared, decisions made by the executive committee are carried out and, in addition, projects are run.
